Christmas in July with Basic Invite

It’s beginning to look a lot like July…just try and tell me you didn’t start singing along like that was the beginning of a Christmas song. Don’t lie, I know you did! Now that Summer is in full bloom, isn’t it about that time of the year to talk about Christmas? Bikini’s come out in January, so planning your next big Christmas party should start in July. Don’t worry, I’m about to make your Invitations and Christmas card creating super easy, elegant, & affordable.

Basic Invite contacted me about doing a blog post on their stationary business and the theme was Christmas in July. The thought of planning Christmas this early makes my boyfriend shutter with fear because he knows how Christmas crazy I can be.

Now lets get down to some Holiday Business!

We all know what a hassle it can be to plan a party and finding the most affordable but beautiful invitations that match your party style perfectly. Sometimes you can’t get the exact shade of green you want or it costs an arm and a leg to add foil to your design. With Basic Invite you have almost UNLIMITED colors to choose from and over 40 different envelope colors to match your card. I am personally obsessed with the creamed cotton envelope color. Never knew I’d be so obsessed with envelope color…is this adulthood? Once you’ve picked out the exact invitation you want and customized it, Basic Invite allows you to get a sample of your invitation which is a service that a lot of companies don’t offer. At no additional cost to you, they will even print the dresses on the envelopes for you! Even though this is an ad for Christmas Invitations, I’m secretly planning my wedding invitations at the same time, shh. This website is actually fun to just play around on because you have so many different options.

As you can see in the image above is an example as to what it looks like when customizing your envelope. You choose the color and then the font and size of the name and address. They practically do all the work for you so you can focus more on the decor and food for your festivities!

Now when it comes to the actually invitation, you have 10x more options that you could ever imagine. They’ll even provide you with the basic template to give you an idea and you can create holiday cards from there. Changing the colors, font, shape, and basically anything else you could imagine. In the pictures below you’ll see how I took their layout for the Buffalo Plaid Holiday Invite and made it my own in just a few simple clicks. If you would rather have a photo holiday cards to show off your beautiful family & friends, or a simple ornament holiday cards that would look beautiful on anyones fridge or mantle this upcoming Holiday Season then they have just the thing for you. I don’t know about you but I’m one of those people that loves displaying some of the gorgeous holiday cards I receive and afterwards I still keep them. My mom and I have a GIANT stocking filled with holiday cards from people who aren’t even with us any longer. It has actually become a keepsake stocking of all the cards from people we treasure and hold dear to us.

Don’t even get me started on their foil options! The gold is absolutely gorgeous and since you can’t always get the feel for your invite through a screen, they even offer sample invites so you can see the product in person. They offer Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver for all of their invitations and all of them are at a low additional cost.

When you want to plan a special day or event, you want everything to be outstanding. You don’t want to walk away thinking, “Well, this could have been better.” You’ll never forgive yourself, don’t let the invitations be that one thing you could have done better. Stop sending out those emails that will most likely never be seen or those text messages that will get forgotten. Give your guests something they will want to put on their refrigerator and display so they won’t forget or send a holiday card that they will keep for years to come. With Basic Invite all of those things are possible.
