Wrapping presents is a serious matter!!! I can’t possibly be the only one who loves the suspense of unwrapping a present, especially on Christmas Day. Now, if you are like me and love wrapping peoples presents and think about how great it will look under the tree then you are reading the right blog post!
Get supplies! This year I am trying to go for a more classy and simple look so I purchased;
- Brown Butcher Paper
- Simple Printed Wrapping Paper
- Decorative Leaves (pine, mistletoe, etc.)
- To & From Tags
- Black Marker
Get all your presents ready to go & put odd shaped gifts in nice boxes to give straight edges and make the wrapping processes a lot easier.
Wrap all the gifts in the desired wrapping paper that you have chosen. I went with a plain wrapping paper and a simple pattern wrapping paper that I picked up at my local target.
Tie the twine around the present in which ever design you prefer. Some people like to just wrap it a couple times in the same direction and some prefer the traditional tie around both directions of the box.
Get Crafty! Add any of the extra bits you picked up by tying them in with the twine to secure it down or just simply slide the object in between the loops of twine. This is where you can have some fun and do something fancy but simple to top off the perfect wrapping. Some people like to add a small trinket or a simple To & From tag. I went for both just to add a little pizazz to my wrapping.
I’m not going to lie, I got this post all ready for today and I didn’t even finish my shopping so I will probably be updating this post within the next week haha Just when I thought I had all my stuff planned and done shopping I failed to remember a few bits here and there.
I think the hardest part is wrapping the actual present haha I still struggle as you can see and the only reason they look somewhat presentable is because I spent extra time knowing I was going to be taking pictures of them and I have to at least try and look like I know what I’m doing…I really don’t though. I hope you all enjoy wrapping your presents this year and I want to see pictures of everyones wrapping style so tweet a picture or post on instagram and feel free to take me! Have a great holiday everybody!🎁
