Day 8| Christmas Hot Cocoa

Whats better than a delicious piping hot cocoa on a cold December day? If I was told I could never drink coffee again I would immediately switch over to hot cocoa haha It just gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling inside that can turn a bad day into a good one. Especially if you add the right stuff!

When I say add the “right stuff”, I don’t mean that special ingredient you find in eggnog haha I’m talking bigger and better things! Whipped cream, cinnamon, peppermint, sprinkles, chocolate shavings, you name it! The possibilities are endless.

When it comes to hot cocoa I either go from scratch or I use Starbucks Hot Cocoa packets which are literally the next best thing. For a powder mix it really is delicious. Making it from scratch is fairly simple but you gotta have the time and patients to let it simmer for a while, slowly add all the ingredients, and actually make sure you have all the ingredients haha So if you are lazy like me you’ll go for the packets. I have used a delicious recipe in the past for hot cocoa from scratch so I’ll leave the link down below.

Hot Cocoa Recipe

I highly suggest planning a night to your self at least once a week where you can cozy up on the couch or by the fire and sip on your hot cocoa watching your favorite program or christmas film. I usually start by taking a nice hot shower, cleaning all the stress off from the day and relaxing then putting on a pair of my cozy pajamas and fuzzy socks. Can you imagine doing anything better on a relaxing night in?

I hope you all take some time for yourself this month to reward you for all your hard work throughout the year. I hope you are all enjoying blogmas this year and are loving watching your favorite vlogmas channels on youtube. I know I am! Happy Holidays everyone and I’ll see you tomorrow!
