Day 7| DIY Christmas Gifts

I thought it would be a good idea to do a few quick and easy DIY gifts in case people are running short on time or aren’t entirely sure what to get certain people in their lives. All of these gifts are super simple. Lets get going!

Hot Cocoa Stir Spoons

  • Spoons (World Market)
  • Melting Chocolate
  • Peppermint
  • Sprinkles

These are so simple, just get a few single spoons and dip them in melted chocolate. What really upsets me though, is I made them….forgot to take pictures……and they got used….blogger fail. If you want to get a little creative immediately after dipping roll the spoon in crushed peppermint, sprinkles, or even nuts. I love this idea for a hot cocoa gift set because you have a tasty treat to stir into your hot cocoa and a cute spoon to go with it.

Hot Cocoa Mix Ornament

  • Container (I went for a Christmas ornament)
  • Hot Cocoa Powder Mix
  • Marshmallows
  • Cinnamon

Super easy, just get your favorite Hot Cocoa powder mix and pour it into a nice container such as an ornament and fill the rest with cute festive marshmallows or sprinkles or whatever toppings you’d like!

Marble Coasters

  • Ceramic Tiles (Lowes)
  • Nail Polish (Target)
  • Felt (Joanns)
  • Water
  • Disposable Container
  • Toothpicks
  • Water / Heat Resistant Clear Coat

This one I found on Pinterest so I’ll leave a link at the bottom with the directions but it was actually very easy to make. I was so happy with how they came out too. I made the green and red set and also a blue set that Lee requested haha I didn’t even use nice nail polish and they came out really cool and the color stuck well. In case you were wondering I used the Sally Hansen nail polish which I just picked up at my local Target and they were only $2.99. I would love to see the ones you guys make so please tag me in your twitter post or instagram. I’d like to see what colors other people do!

All of these were super easy to make, except for when it came to getting the cocoa mixture into the ornament….that was a bit of a pain, and as a set they make the perfect little gift bag, just include a festive mug if you’d like! These are the gifts that I’d give to people I am not entirely sure what they would like or if I’m just feeling creative and want a reason to try something new.

If you have any suggestions on how to make this different or if you found an easier alternative I would love to know so leave a comment down below! I highly suggest making the coasters at least for yourself, I absolutely love how mine came out and you can do so many color combinations its hard not to make a 100 different ones haha Happy Holidays everyone and Happy Christmas Shopping!
